Northern Harpsong

Northern Maine chapter of the International Society of Folk Harpers & Craftsmen

Hi everyone!

Rita posed an excellent question about posting so others can see the post. I realize that some of you may be new to this type of site. I know that I had no clue about "ning" until a couple of weeks ago. So, we are learning together!

Being the "administrator" of this site allows me to 'see all'. I saw Rita's question about leaving comments for everyone to see.

Unless someone sets their comments to be visible to "friends only", if you go to their page, you can read comments on their page. On your own page right above where it says "Your Page", which you have figured out how to change to your own name, there is a link that says "About me". If you click on that, you can change what your profile says, and there is also a link for "privacy".

To post comments that show up on the main page you can either start a discussion or a blog. You can add a blog post either from the main page or your own page. The rules are to keep it pertaining to the site, harping in general, or exciting news in your life. I have the power to delete (hee, hee) so, keep it friendly!

As you may have seen, you can also upload photos, videos and music. I haven't tried to do videos or music yet, so I don't know how much help I'd be with that, but maybe within a few days I'll try just to see how it goes!

Harp on!
Leigh

Hi Dot!
The easiest way to leave a comment for someone is to go to the main page and click on their picture in the "members" column on the left. When you get to their page, scroll down until you see the "add a comment" box like the one here. You can also click on their name anywhere it is highlighted to get to their page.

Hope this helps!
