oh..so sorry that you can't make it, but understand. Yoiu are a sport to even want to come this far north! Hope you get rested and spend some time with your harp over the weekend!

Hi Kate,
Well, we sure will miss you, but I know what you mean about long drives. I went down to an Art Quilts Maine meeting last week (down and back in one day) and was really wiped when I got home. So, 7+ hours of driving and a 4 hour meeting in the middle of it is probably on a par with driving one way from CT.
Take care, get some rest and we will let you know when we plan to gather next.
No, we went to Somerset itself two years ago. Once we hit Massachusetts, the driving is too hairy for me - and I grew up in Mass, but further west. Even there, the traffic is worse than it used to be. ;-)
Ooooh, it is tempting! I'll have to start saving my pennies. One thing I learned when I went is that if you want a t-shirt you have to get there very early on Friday!. I went in as soon as the vendor area was open (stood in line waiting), went to the t-shirt table first, and bought the last shirt they had in my size!
I would love to come, but will warn you - I am useless in traffic as a driver! I will no doubt be cowering in the back seat most of the way! :-O
It would be really cool to get a bunch of us going together!
Let's keep the idea alive and think positively!

Hi, Kate,
I LOVED the Tacos! Music should be some fun, not all work. Keep your ears open for more good stuff to share with us. I hope everything will come together for another gathering on the 24th. We'll try to get things planned, so everyone will know which music to look at. Keep in touch. - Dale
Well, the cat of course wanted extra attention when I got home!
Glad your trip home was uneventful. getting ready for bed here now. I do hope the October one is a go. Everyone seemed in favor of it. Maybe we can sit next to each other next time.
Gotta go hit the hay - SO glad you were able to come up!

Yes Fred did take some pictures, but for some reason the camera was acting up and they did not come out well at all. To post pictures here, they have to be on your computer. Make sure you know where it is saved and the file name for it. To put a picture instead of the default Celtic harp, under that picture it says manage my page or photo. Click on 'photo'. On the page that comes up, 'photo' will be the first item under the header. You can click on browse and find the photo that way or type in the file name of the photo on your computer. You can also change anything you want to alter in your profile on this page. Don't forget to scroll all the way down and click on SAVE! If you are like me, you will feel very disgruntled if you go to your page after all that and find the picture hasn't changed. I think after you hit save it tells you it may take a couple minutes. It usually doesn't take too long.
You can also add pictures to your page that will also show up on the mini slide show on the main page. Back on your regular page, again under the picture is a list of things - blogs posts, discussions, photos.... Click on photos and follow the directions. (I usually use the 'quick add' tab. It is very similar to the profile photo upload procedure.
Good luck, have fun and see you on the 11th!

Hi, Kate--several of us have ring of Harps and Circle of Harps and you are right, they do have nice selections in them. I love doing the things that are arranged for two or three parts--they are fun to work out together. I'm gonig to check out the Tourin collection you mentioned. Thanks...
